2nd BME Customs & Trade Summit – Customs strategies for purchasing and logistics

On September 3 – 4, 2019, the Alliance for Trade Facilitation will participate in the BME Customs & Trade Summit in Darmstadt, Germany.

The topic of customs and foreign trade is omnipresent with daily reports on Brexit, import duties and trade wars and also has an impact on sourcing and logistics processes.

If purchasing decisions are made without taking customs and export controls into account, enormous costs are often incurred and the security of the supply chain is threatened. Therefore, it is important to strengthen the cooperation between purchasing, logistics and customs and to jointly develop sourcing strategies. The Alliance will be represented at the 2nd BME Customs & Trade Summit. Participants can expect interesting practical lectures on the latest topics:

  • Trump, Brexit and Co. – the state of the world economy
  • Targeting Global Markets: USA, China, Japan
  • Digital customs management
  • Building a successful customs organisation
  • Free Trade Agreement JEFTA
  • Incoterms 2020 – Renewals at a glance
